 Yesterday, we explored the outdoors, creating and listening to the sounds in nature- just like the sounds Ning heard on her journey through the forest.  We listened to... Dripping water  Thudding rocks  Snapping twigs  Crunching leaves  We then used our phonics to Fred talk and write down the sounds we could hear.

 This week, the children came into the class to discover lanterns that had been left in the classroom by Mrs Chapman to keep the Night Spirits away.  We asked questions about the Night Spirits as we're not sure what they are or why they may be visiting our classroom. We decided to put up posters to keep them away until we find out more about them. Today, we arrived in class to find a letter from Ning and a book called 'Ning and the Night Spirits'.  Ning needs our help as he wants to make friends and isn't sure how. The children discussed what Ning could do and decided to write him a letter to help him.
