Bears have been learning the ‘x’ sound. They practised saying and writing it, looked at things that started with that sound, sounded out words that included the ‘x’ sound, then used some of those words in a sentence.
Odds and evens investigation
Today, we've been investigating which numbers are odd and which are even. The children went into the mud kitchen area and counted out flowers, sticks, bugs etc. then split each number of objects into 2 groups to see if they could be shared equally. They then recorded their findings and looked for patterns. Sharing 3 flowers into 2 groups Looking for bugs to share. Checking to see if one flower can be shared into 2 groups. Recording their findings. Sharing pebbles into 2 baskets.
