Bears wrote letter to Santa this morning. They used their phonics to sound out unfamiliar words and practised writing the high frequency words they have been learning. We are looking forward to putting them in the post.
Today we assembled and decorated our ginger bread house. The bears really enjoyed counting out the ingredients for the icing (glue) and helping each other to put the house together. After, they practised counting out different numbers of sweets to put on the outside. We can’t wait to eat it!
Yesterday and today, Bears learnt about the artwork of Pablo Picasso. They created their own portraits in the style of Picasso then told the Tigers what they had learnt.
This morning the Bears were joined by the Tigers, who helped them make a ginger bread house. Together they weighed out the ingredients, mixed them together to make a dough, then rolled out the sides and roof of the house, after cutting out the templates. We are looking forward to assembling and decorating the house tomorrow.
This afternoon we were joined by Flagg nursery to watch Jack’s a Giant adventure. We loved welcoming to the nursery children to our school and are so pleased they enjoyed the performance as much as we did.
We are so proud of all of our infant children for the spectacular performances of Hey Ewe that they put on both last night and this afternoon. They have worked so hard at learning lines and songs and we're very grateful for all of the hard work that everybody has put in. They have shown enthusiasm and joy as well as marking themselves as true performers! Look at those smiles.
Today the bears had a go at writing about their favourite part of the story ‘Stick Man’. They used their knowledge of the high frequency words and phonics learnt so far to write their sentences.
