Have a Beary good day

Good morning lovely Bears. I hope you are all ok and are looking forward to getting stuck into some more learning today, you really impressed me with what you achieved yesterday.

Don’t forget that Joe is doing P.E at 9am for you all to join in with at home. It’s really important that we stay active and get plenty of fresh air. What a blessing that we are surrounded by such beautiful countryside.

I’m missing you all and look forward to us being together again soon.

    I'm glad Connie is enjoying the phonics games, we do like alien words in our class. I'm really enjoying hearing from the girls and finding out what they've been doing. Enjoy another beautiful day.

 Our Week In maths, we have been exploring 3D shapes, which shapes roll and which shapes stack.  We discovered that shapes need be curved to roll and have a flat face to stack. The drum was a cylinder and could roll. In literacy we have started reading 'Look Up', a story all about a young girl who dreams of becoming an astronaut!  We read how Rocket was inspired by Mae Jemison, the first African -American woman in space. Bears didn't think it was fair that African-American people were stopped from following their dreams. We spotted our phonics sounds through our telescope. We then shared, what we dreamed of doing in the future, from becoming an artist to being an ice cream seller. We also counted down as we watched the astronauts take off in the space shuttle and wondered what it would be like to be in space.
