How are you all today?

Well done for all your brilliant work yesterday, it was great to see you all getting stuck into the home learning tasks. Connie, I love that you made the spring balance, that’s fantastic. Did you find it tricky to make?

George has done some super work this week, including this lovely map of his farm. What a lot of detail you’ve added George.


I hope you all enjoy today’s home learning activities and have a great day. I’m hoping to do a little baking, not sure what to make yet, any ideas?

      Interesting choice. The only time I have scones is in Cornwall. Maybe should break the trend!

 Our Week In maths, we have been exploring 3D shapes, which shapes roll and which shapes stack.  We discovered that shapes need be curved to roll and have a flat face to stack. The drum was a cylinder and could roll. In literacy we have started reading 'Look Up', a story all about a young girl who dreams of becoming an astronaut!  We read how Rocket was inspired by Mae Jemison, the first African -American woman in space. Bears didn't think it was fair that African-American people were stopped from following their dreams. We spotted our phonics sounds through our telescope. We then shared, what we dreamed of doing in the future, from becoming an artist to being an ice cream seller. We also counted down as we watched the astronauts take off in the space shuttle and wondered what it would be like to be in space.
