Moon buggies

This afternoon, The Bears were given the challenge to create a 'moon buggy' out of a construction material of their choice. First, we discussed the purpose and features of a moon buggy as well as referring to previous learning about the surface of the moon. The children decided that the buggy would have to be sturdy in order to transport astronauts around the moon successfully.

The Bears included special features such
a 'tv camera', 'antenna', ' T-shaped
hand controller', 'seats for the 'astronauts' etc.

After completing the build, they then tested their buggies in sand and then down a ramp to see how far they would travel and if it could withstand a bumpy journey.
