Capture the Flag

This afternoon, we had an epic game of capture the flag during our forest school session. The two teams had to think carefully about where to hide their flag to try avoid it being stolen from the other team. Then, during their team talk then came up with the best strategy to defeat the opposing team. After, we sat around our new campfire area and had a sing song together.

Our Week

 Our Week In maths, we have been exploring 3D shapes, which shapes roll and which shapes stack.  We discovered that shapes need be curved to roll and have a flat face to stack. The drum was a cylinder and could roll. In literacy we have started reading 'Look Up', a story all about a young girl who dreams of becoming an astronaut!  We read how Rocket was inspired by Mae Jemison, the first African -American woman in space. Bears didn't think it was fair that African-American people were stopped from following their dreams. We spotted our phonics sounds through our telescope. We then shared, what we dreamed of doing in the future, from becoming an artist to being an ice cream seller. We also counted down as we watched the astronauts take off in the space shuttle and wondered what it would be like to be in space.
