What’s been going on in our classroom?

Yesterday the bears arrived in our classroom and found some very mysterious things had happened. Something had left a rather large footprint and had bitten a chunk out of our phonics display! There was also a chunk of fur left on the carpet. The children later found a sack labelled ‘Sam’s sack’ which contained various items that started with the letter ‘s’, including a story called ‘Where the wild things are.’  We read part of the story and the children decided that Sam could be like one of the creatures in the story and they predicted where the character Max was going in his boat and what he was going to do.

This morning the children took it in turns to pretend to be a king, like Max and commanded the wild things to do what they wanted. They then sorted some delicacies that Sam enjoys (he only eats things that start with ‘s’ and ‘a’).

The bears have had a fantastic start to school and we are incredibly proud of how well they are doing. Well done bears!
