Wild things hide and seek

This morning, the children had a great game of hide and seek in groups. A ‘wild thing’ hid and the other children looked for the them before decoding and blending the words “it is in...” then finishing the sentence by describing where they were hiding. It is brilliant to see the children using and applying there new phonic knowledge!

A wild thing hiding

Talking about where the wild thing is

The bears also really impressed me when they drew a wild thing and discussed and wrote about where it is hiding using their ‘Fred fingers’ to sound out the words.
