Harvesting our crops to make sandwiches

 The Bears have been very busy this morning making egg mayonnaise sandwiches.  They have listened very carefully to the instructions and followed them step by step. This afternoon they are going to enjoy eating them together.


We spread the butter on the bread, using the knifes carefully and safely.

Peeled the egg shell of the eggs. Added 4 table spoons of mayonnaise and chopped the eggs

Put a tablespoon of egg mayo on the bread and spread it.

Snipped off the cress and sprinkled it on the bread.


Put the pieces of bread together and chopped the sandwich in half. Wrapped them in tinfoil to enjoy later.

 Our Week In maths, we have been exploring 3D shapes, which shapes roll and which shapes stack.  We discovered that shapes need be curved to roll and have a flat face to stack. The drum was a cylinder and could roll. In literacy we have started reading 'Look Up', a story all about a young girl who dreams of becoming an astronaut!  We read how Rocket was inspired by Mae Jemison, the first African -American woman in space. Bears didn't think it was fair that African-American people were stopped from following their dreams. We spotted our phonics sounds through our telescope. We also counted down as we watched the astronauts take off in the space shuttle and wondered what it would be like to be in space.
