A special visitor

 The Bears have had a very important job to do this morning- they have been in charge of looking after Margot. The children discussed what dogs need in order to be healthy and made sure that Margot had everything she needs.

Margot was given her breakfast by the Bears.


She was given treats for sitting and giving her paw.


The Bears helped keep her mind active by hiding treats for her to find.


They read to her....


 ...and they took her for a walk and played fetch with her to give her exercise.

The Bears then shared their knowledge of how to look after a dog with the other classes when they took her to visit them.

                                              

Margot has thoroughly enjoyed her visit to school and really appreciates all the love she's been given. Now to catch up on some zzzzzzzzzz !

 Our Week In maths, we have been exploring 3D shapes, which shapes roll and which shapes stack.  We discovered that shapes need be curved to roll and have a flat face to stack. The drum was a cylinder and could roll. In literacy we have started reading 'Look Up', a story all about a young girl who dreams of becoming an astronaut!  We read how Rocket was inspired by Mae Jemison, the first African -American woman in space. Bears didn't think it was fair that African-American people were stopped from following their dreams. We spotted our phonics sounds through our telescope. We then shared, what we dreamed of doing in the future, from becoming an artist to being an ice cream seller. We also counted down as we watched the astronauts take off in the space shuttle and wondered what it would be like to be in space.
