Our Week
Bears have been exploring the changes in the weather and the seasons in our outdoor learning. We put on our woolly hats and spotted some of the seasonal changes that have taken place in the woods. We discovered that the water had frozen in the cold and had made some ice and that there were no longer many leaves on any of the trees. Bears were glad to find a cosy den to hide in!
In our companion project Puppets and Pop Ups, we have been using a variety of puppets to retell stories and to use our imagination to make and tell our own stories.
In our topic Marvellous Machines, we designed and made our own junk rockets and launched them down the wire.
Bears have also been looking at the Artist Jackson Pollock in our topic Marvellous Machines. We looked at his art work, re -creating his art using different techniques. We used digital paint pallets and then we created his drip art paintings by making our own painting machine, hanging up a paint bottle and swinging it over the paper. It was fun but very messy!
